Dark Knight - ready to break Box Office records?

Hear ye, hear ye!! The word is everywhere, and the response will surely be overwhelming!

Now that the dark Knight is burning its way on thousands of Cinemas all over the world, coupled with the hype the movie has received, one can only imagine how much the movie will rake in on its opening weekend alone.

Now I have seen the movie, and I would have to say that the hype matches that of Spiderman 3. However, the untimely death of Heath Ledger has further bolstered this hype as trailers show shades of brilliance already with Ledger's version of the Joker.

And as we made our way to the cinemas on opening night, I would say that this could be even bigger than Iron Man, but perhaps a little short of Spiderman given the volume of people and its time of release.

However only time can tell if Ledgers phenomenal performance can give this Batman movie that extra push to beat the records previously set by Spidey!

Overall, the movie was almost 3 hours long, but the story kept me hooked and Heath Ledger made me route for Joker until the end but at the same time made me despise his character as a solid "classy criminal" with nothing to lose!

Too bad though, I wouldn't see Ledger in the 3rd installment...if ever there will be a next one!
